Livestock Rearing

Livestock rearing, conducted alongside agriculture and horticulture, is considered a highly profitable venture for securing sustainable livelihoods among the landless, small, and marginal farmers in rural Odisha. Over the years, we have engaged thousands of households in livestock rearing. Some households receive support for poultry farming, including chicks, shelter, and feed, while others are provided with inputs for goat farming, such as bucks, shelter, and vaccines. Additionally, we support fish farmers by helping establish fish feed production units to meet local demand. We also administer preventive vaccinations to ruminants regularly to avoid animal diseases.
